Accomplice opened for Van Halen and Rush at Blockbuster Pavilion in 1998 and in 1999 they released two discs on Adrenaline Records (Italy) one of which was their debut self-titled release and the other “Voices” a Tribute to Dream Theater covering the hit “Pull Me Under.”

In 2001 they hit the road and opened for such acts as Leatherwolf, Skid Row and King’s X. In August 2001, Sean Clegg finished writing all of the material which would later be the CD, She’s On Fire, and the band entered the studio to work on their second release.

At that time the band decided to change directions and make the decision of letting longtime vocalist Stephen Green go. Then the search began for a replacement, which included Jeff Scott Soto (Yngwie J. Malmsteen) and Charles West (Jason Bonham). At this time, Michael T. Ross, keyboardist for Accomplice, returned from England after a successful show playing with Hardline II. Michael played Johnny Gioeli a rough mix of the new Accomplice tracks, and Johnny agreed to sing on the album.

The drums for this Accomplice release were produced by Simon Phillips and recorded at his place ‘Coy Studios.’ The guitars, bass & keyboards were produced by Derek Sherinian, assisted by Albert Law and engineered by Tom Fletcher at Derek’s studio ‘The Leopard Room’ in Hollywood Hills, California, USA.
